This past Sunday night we listened to countless people telling stories about how God has used us. This was incredibly overwhelming. I can't even quite describe it. Not infrequently during these last ten years I've wondered if any of the work was making any impact. So often we felt like we were beating our heads against the wall. To hear that God had used us, was surprising to say the least.
Here's what I'm walking away with:
God seems really eager to use us to make an impact on others.
Gratitude expressed verbally and specifically breathes life into people and into their relationships.
What River Rock gave us last week is something most folks will only get post-mortem. The stories of "Magnalia Dei", the great acts of God, will give us that much more enthusiasm and vision for what might be in The Hague. For this I will be eternally grateful. Thanks RRC!
